Vision

The Rainbow Grand is in the earliest stages as we explore community interests and priorities, build a diverse team and leadership, and brainstorm organization and purposes.

We began our journey to create a queer cultural venue and community space in Escondido. We envision a multipurpose, mixed use space that prioritizes youth and marginalized communities, with both an entertainment/gathering area and community rooms. The community space would create a shared local hub for LGBTQ organizations and groups, marginalized communities, and local folks. We imagine a location where the fantastic existing organizations that serve our community can collaborate, offer services, and connect locally.

To be inclusive, it is critical that our team reflect the community we serve. We're not interesting in launching a program and trying to bring in diversity later. We want a variety of perspectives to contribute as we organize and give structure to this dream. We need a team that reflects all the beautiful diversity of our community. Do you share in this dream?
